I was moved by the sight of someone taking over the family business (the family of a barber who I work with on a daily basis)
The family of Mr. Kashiwazaki, the barber who always takes care of us.
I have a female barber who gives me advice on various matters.
This time, we shaved while sitting down using a small razor (micro)!
When we asked if we could shoot the photo from a female perspective, a female friend of Kashiwazaki's mother readily agreed.
I will post more about this later. This time, my nephew and son wanted to get their hair cut, so I asked if I could take them with me, and they said "Sure!" so I took them.
Due to my mistake, I arrived 30 minutes late as I had picked the wrong time to arrive. Mr. Kashiwazaki's son (Jr.) is attending barber school and met my nephew last year, so he made the effort to be there with us this time.
Since we had time, we decided to ask Jr. to take care of our son on short notice.
As I was taking the photos, I felt a sense of innocence in the way the juniors held the scissors and cut the hair. I dropped out, but I attended a correspondence course at a barber school, and during summer schooling I learned how to hold the scissors and the steps for cutting. I still remember how difficult it was, and I couldn't keep up with the high level of skill, so I dropped out...
It was a touching scene to see his mother, Kashiwazaki, glancing curiously at him as he cut his hair, just like a parent.
As the cut nears the end, the husband gives his junior some advice!
This is also beautiful!
Of course, there are craftsmen who do it, but I think cutting hair and shaping it into a shape is an art! They are like artists, really.
It was a heartwarming time watching Jr. take over the family business!
Thank you for your cooperation.
