FEATHER Club Newsletter 02 Safety Declaration The Guard
Feather Safety Razors' flagship razor: Safety Declaration: The Guard!
The current model F2 Neo is in some sense an early model (replacement blade).
We will introduce the details again in FEATHER Club Newsletter 03!
The handle design is great!
The ⚪︎ on the side gets larger as it approaches the end and has rubber protruding from it to prevent slipping. The lines above and below the "FEATHER" lettering on the front of the handle are also made of rubber and are beautifully designed to make it easy to hold.
To remove the blade, just push the button on the side as shown in the picture.
This method of attachment and removal reminds me of Gillette Sensor, a sensor from another manufacturer.
This way of removing it is also stylish.
The replacement blades at that time were called "Safety Declaration The Guard," and as their name suggested, the blades were made from extremely thin stainless steel plate just 0.05 mm thick, which was machined with ultra-precision to prevent cutting even when the blades skidded sideways.
As is common nowadays, a smoother is attached to the top.
It's so tiny compared to modern smoothers, which makes it kind of cute!
I don't use it now, but speaking from my old memories, when I was a student I remember having a very thick beard and being able to shave it quickly and without any worries.
Tonight's quote (said by a great person)
"I want to be proud of the path I've chosen, so I'll work hard."
